Town & Country Credit Union earned an Honorable Mention title in the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Louise Herring Award Philosophy-in-Action competition. Credit unions across the country compete against others in their asset category at a state or regional level, and then the best go on to compete on a national scale. Town & Country Credit Union won the Louise Herring Award through the Dakota Association of Credit Unions (North Dakota and South Dakota), and then went on to clinch the Honorable Mention title at the national level against their peer credit unions.
The Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service award celebrate credit union programs and policies that demonstrate their commitment to the practical application of the credit union philosophy – “people helping people”. Town & Country Credit Union was recognized for their Credit Union Culture of Appreciation projects, including loan discounts for educators, first responders and military; thank you letters and gifts to long-term members; and their Member Acts of Kindness program.
As a credit union, we take our job of serving our members seriously and we’re grateful that they continue to choose us for their financial needs,” said Shannon Webster, Chief Marketing Officer. “These projects are only a few examples of how we’ve incorporated a culture of appreciation into our credit union’s operations, and I’m proud that our team has been recognized nationally for that commitment.
