Youth & Teen Savings Accounts

Money management skills start at a young age, and we want to do our part to help kids learn the benefits of saving. Our Youth and Teen Savings Accounts have the same features and benefits as our Share Savings Account including online account access, account alerts and statements, but come with a few pint-sized perks like free account statements provided quarterly or monthly with account activity. 

Youth Savings Account

This savings account is for children ages 0-12 and teaches them the importance of saving and the rewards that come with it. Benefits include:

• Dividends are paid on all balances
• A prize when making deposits
• Getting $5 when depositing at least $25 during their birthday month
• Earning a $25 deposit match when depositing at least $25 in December
• Invitations to special free youth events like Ice Skating, Swimming, Movies, the Zoo, or others
• Transitions to a Teen Savings Account at age 13

Teen Savings Account

This savings account is for kids ages 13-17 and teaches them the importance of saving and the rewards that come with it. Benefits include:

• Dividends are paid on all balances
• Invitations to special free youth events like Ice Skating, Swimming, Movies, the Zoo, or others
• Transitions to a Share Savings Account at age 18

How to open an account?

• Complete our online application or call us at 1-800-872-6358 to schedule an in-person appointment.
• When opening the account, you'll need an adult to serve as joint account owner. You'll also need to provide the child's social security number and a minimum deposit of $5.
