We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our 2024 Small Business Grants. Four member-owned small businesses making a significant impact in our communities each received a $2,500 grant to help create positive change. This marks the second year of our small business grants.

To apply, businesses that are Town & Country members were asked to submit an essay answering the question, "How would your small business use $2,500 to create a positive impact on your staff, customers or the community?” A group of Town & Country Credit Union employees reviewed and scored all submissions.

This year's winners include:

Empower Mind Body Soul—Fargo, ND: Empower Mind Body Soul is a fitness studio in Fargo that fosters holistic wellness and community support. It promotes mental, emotional and physical well-being through diverse practices. The funding from this grant will allow them to expand their offering, including a dedicated space for breathwork, meditation and community circles.  By offering an expanded range of activities, they can support different needs and preferences, allowing everyone to feel welcome, seen and heard.

Faa Addiction Services—Minot, ND: Faa Addiction Services provides a full range of outpatient addiction services, including substance abuse evaluations, group counseling, individual counseling, and DUI Services. They are licensed to provide services to both adolescents and adults. In addition to these services, they offer men in their Day Treatment program the opportunity to live in their sober living house while participating in treatment. With this grant, sober living residents can participate in local activities and events to assist in rehabilitation. This grant will also allow them to offer additional tools for personal enrichment and growth.

Sophie Grace Photography—Wahpeton, ND: Sophie Grace Photography is a local photography business that has been operating for eight years. She serves her community by providing timeless images to her clients, including weddings, senior photos, family and lifestyle photos. This grant will allow her to update her equipment to continue capturing special memories for her clients.

The Market on 4th—Minot, ND: The Market on 4th combines farmhouse, rustic, and vintage-inspired styles with a modern twist. The shop offers goods from many local makers that are creatively displayed throughout the store, inspiring customers to use these amazing local products in their homes and lives. They support more than 30 small businesses, helping to ensure that local artisans and entrepreneurs have a platform to showcase and sell their products. With this funding, they plan to bring in fresh inventory from new businesses, along with new products, to ensure they are keeping their offerings diverse and helping to boost the local economy.
